COVER LETTER:

This is the schedule for the 6cm NME on 08 March 2011
involving 13 antennas: Eb Wb Jb1 On Mc Tr Ys Sv Zc Bd Ur Sh Hh

In this session the C-band ftp test is separate from the NME (F12C1),
but in addition we schedule a couple of the ftp-tests here, just in case
some additional checking is needed.

The NME uses a standard setup and consists of long integrations
on a fringe-finder 0528+134 and 2 hr phase-referencing part,
using a 100 mJy-class calibrator J0522+1415 as a target and
the same 0528+134 as a phase-referencing source.

Two ftp tests are scheduled:
~13:14 UT (scan 02, 4 sec, 0528+134)
~14:23 UT (scan 24, 4 sec, 0528+134)

Please make sure that the autoftp is set up correctly.

Good luck with the session!

Yurii

The solar corona can cause unstable phases for sources too close to the Sun.
SCHED provides warnings at individual scans for distances less than 10 degrees.
The distance from the Sun to each source in this schedule is:
    Source Sun distance (deg)
   J0522+1415 92.6
   0528+134 94.5

Barry Clark estimates from predictions by Ketan Desai of IPM scattering sizes
that the Sun will cause amplitude reductions on the longest VLBA baselines
at a solar distance of 60deg F^(-0.6) where F is in GHz.
For common VLBI bands, this is:
       327 MHz 117. deg
       610 MHz 81. deg
       1.6 GHz 45. deg
       2.3 GHz 36. deg
