The NME uses a standard setup at 2048 Mbps for the first 1.5 h and then moves to 4096 Mbps. The schedule consists of long integrations on calibrators 3C345 and J2031+1219 for ftp-fringe tests. The source J2035+1056 is observed to determine phase stability in phase-referencing calibration. The following ftp-fringe tests are scheduled throughout the experiment (UT times): 12:10:00 (scan 2, 2 sec, 3C345) 2 Gbps 12:40:00 (scan 8, 2 sec, J2031+1219) 13:10:00 (scan 14, 2 sec, J2031+1219) 13:40:00 (scan 20, 2 sec, J2031+1219) --- Moves to 4 Gbps at 13:42 UT. 14:10:00 (scan 26, 2 sec, J2031+1219) 4 Gbps 14:40:00 (scan 32, 2 sec, J2031+1219) 14:58:00 (scan 36, 2 sec, J2031+1219) Good luck with the session! SCHED provides warnings at individual scans for distances less than 10 degrees. The distance from the Sun to each source in this schedule is: Source Sun distance (deg) 3C345 62.3 J2031+1219 91.1 J2035+1056 91.5 Barry Clark estimates from predictions by Ketan Desai of IPM scattering sizes that the Sun will cause amplitude reductions on the longest VLBA baselines at a solar distance of 60deg F^(-0.6) where F is in GHz.
