===================================================================== Session Notes for ES087 Prepared by Fengchun Shu, Shanghai Astronomical Observatory ===================================================================== PURPOSE AND GENERAL NOTES ===================================================================== ==> Ecliptic plane calibrators for nanoradian absolute astrometry <== -------------- a) Schedule: -------------- ES087 will be performed on one 24-hour block with 12 stations, 1Gbps data rate, and S/X dual band. Considering Ef has a low-end of X-band at 8210MHz, the X-band frequencies are shifted 10MHz up for each channel. Hh low-end of S-band range is 2210MHz, but probably can be lower at 2290MHz (per Jonathan Quick 2017OCT11). In order to reduce the impact of possible loss of the SR1U, we move the frequency of the 2nd channel to 2217.99MHz. The frequency sequence adopted is listed below. FREQREF = 8223.99, 8223.99, 8263.99, 8363.99, 8543.99, 8743.99, 8863.99, 8883.99, 8943.99, 8943.99, 2201.99, 2217.99, 2249.99, 2265.99, 2281.99, 2297.99 FREQOFF = 0.00 NETSIDE = L, U, U, U, U, U, U, U, L, U, U, U, U, U, U, U POL = RCP Noto has no wide X-band, BBC 5-8 are duplicated from BBC 1-4, as shown below. For the east network, T6-Km-Ur-Bd-Zc, the schedule is es087e, while for the west network, Ef-Ys-O6-Mc-Nt-Sv-Hh, the schedule is es087w. Most of target sources are observed by both networks. es087e and es087w will be run in parallel, and be correlated respectively. es087e.vex for T6-Km-Ur-Bd-Zc es087w.vex for Ef-Ys-O6-Mc-Nt-Sv-Hh To generate vex files, we used three files as listed below: es087e-v3.key es087w-v3.key es087_setup.txt -------------- f) SNAP files: -------------- Snap files are generated for all the stations with patched version of drudg: es087ebd.snp es087ekm.snp es087et6.snp es087eur.snp es087ezc.snp es087wef.snp es087whh.snp es087wmc.snp es087wnt.snp es087wo6.snp es087wsv.snp es087wys.snp **Please, do not generate snap files yourself!** But stations need generate procedure files using your local version of drudg as usual. snap files provides J2000 source coordinates for all stations, except Hh. B1950 source coordinates are provided for Hh. ==============================================================================================================================
