COVER INFORMATION Station: ONSALA85 (Code On ) Experiment: Network Monitoring Experiment Exp. Code: N12M2 Schedule Version: 1.00 Processed by SCHED version: 10.00 Release Sept. 15, 2011 PI: Gabriele Surcis Address: JIVE Postbus 2 7990 AA Dwingeloo The Netherlands Phone: +31-521-596508 EMAIL: surcis@jive.nl Fax: Phone during observation: +31-521-596508 Observing mode: Notes: 5cm NME and ftp fringe test for session 3/2012 (128 Mbps, L+R, 2-bit sampling, 8 MHz filters) Please send the disk pack by express to JIVE Please DO NOT use the phase cal signal. COVER LETTER: This is the schedule for the 5cm NME and ftp fringe-test on 2 November 2012 involving 8 antennas: Eb Wb1 Jb2 On25 Mc Nt Tr Ys. The NME uses a setup typical for methanol spectral line experiments, but with 16 channels, i.e. using both sidebands of all BBCs, and 8 MHz filters. The schedule consists of long integrations on strong calibrators like 3C286 and 3C345 as well as phase-referencing parts with a methanol maser and a continuum source as targets, respectively. Four ftp-fringe tests are scheduled throughout the experiment: ~12:06 (scan 2, 4 sec, 3C286) ~13:32 (scan 27, 4 sec, 3C345) ~14:52 (scan 47, 4 sec, 3C345) Please make sure that the autoftp is set up correctly. Thanks! Since this schedule includes a spectral line source (G35.02), please switch OFF the phase cal signal! !!! PCAL is OFF for this experiment !!! Good luck with the session! SCHED provides warnings at individual scans for distances less than 10 degrees. The distance from the Sun to each source in this schedule is: Source Sun distance (deg) G35.02 67.0 J1329+3154 49.1 3C286 47.7 3C345 62.7 J1856+0610 68.9 Barry Clark estimates from predictions by Ketan Desai of IPM scattering sizes that the Sun will cause amplitude reductions on the longest VLBA baselines at a solar distance of 60deg F^(-0.6) where F is in GHz.
