Thanks. Please send the disk pack by express to JIVE COVER LETTER: This is the schedule for the first Q-band NME and ftp fringe-test, to be observed on 16 October 2008, 1300 - 1530 UT. Since the usual VLBA fringe finders may be too weak for good results in the ftp fringe-tests, there will be seven ftp scans on different sources drawn from various catalogs. The ftp-data (20-32 seconds of each scan) are scheduled to be transmitted at ~13:10 UT (3C345, a VLBA fringe finder at ~1641+399), ~13:25 UT (1749+096, a strong source according to the CARMA flux database), ~13:50 UT (2013+370, the fringe finder for GB060A,B), ~14:05 UT (U Her, a maser source at ~1626+189), ~14:20 UT (1749+096), ~14:55 UT (3C454.3), and ~15:25 UT (3C454.3). In addition, there will be test observations of other sources that may be strong enough at Q-band to serve as calibrators in future Q-band experiments. Phase-referencing will NOT be tested, because the switching time would be prohibitively small (VLBA Scientific Memorandum 24). Please make sure that the autoftp is set up correctly. Good luck for the session! Stefanie Schedule for ONSALA60 (Code On ) Page 2 Network Monitoring Experiment UP: D => Below limits; H => Below horizon mask. blank => Up.
