The ftp test uses a standard 512 Mbps setup. The schedule consists of long integrations on VLBI calibrators J1329+3154 (~1 Jy at 8.6 GHz from the VLBA calibrator Survey) and J1613+3412 (~2 Jy at 8.6 GHz from the VLBA calibrator Survey). There are two ftp fringe-test scans (1) 09:06:00 UT (scan 2, 2 sec, J1329+3154) (2) 09:50:00 UT (scan 6, 2 sec, J1613+3412) Please make sure that the autoftp is set up correctly. SCHED provides warnings at individual scans for distances less than 10 degrees. The distance from the Sun to each source in this schedule is: Source Sun distance (deg) J1329+3154 42.3 J1613+3412 57.7 Barry Clark estimates from predictions by Ketan Desai of IPM scattering sizes that the Sun will cause amplitude reductions on the longest VLBA baselines at a solar distance of 60deg F^(-0.6) where F is in GHz.
