COVER LETTER:


This is the schedule for the 6cm NME and ftp fringe-test on 18th Oct 2018
involving antennas: j2, wb, Ef, Mc, Nt, o8, T6, Ur, tr, ys, hh, Sv, Zc, Bd, Ir, Kunming, Cm, Da, Kn, Pi, De, Ar
The NME uses a standard setup with 512 Mbps.

The following ftp-fringe tests are scheduled throughout the experiment:
12:15:00 (scan 2, 2 sec, J0956+2515)
12:45:00 (scan 6, 2 sec, J0956+2515)
13:15:00 (scan 9, 2 sec,  J1549+0237)
13:45:00 (scan 13, 2 sec, J1549+0237)
14:15:00 (scan 16, 2 sec,  BLLAC)
14:45:00 (scan 20, 2 sec,  BLLAC)

Generally the schedule is split into thirds, the first concentrates
on Ar fringe chacking (at the beginnine, at their request),
the second aims to confirm fringes to Hh, the thirsd concentrates
on the east asian stations.

As such, the aforementioned stations will only have two data grabs in which we must fix any problems.
So please be alert and ready during your time section if you are one of those stations.

EFFECT OF SOLAR CORONA

  The solar corona can cause unstable phases for sources too close to the Sun.
  SCHED provides warnings at individual scans for distances less than 10 degrees.
  The distance from the Sun to each source in this schedule is:

  Barry Clark estimates from predictions by Ketan Desai of IPM scattering sizes 
  that the Sun will cause amplitude reductions on the  longest VLBA baselines
