EUROPE-61 (EUROPEAN Geodetic VLBI Network session No. 61) Schedule and Notes prepared by Axel Nothnagel, University of Bonn Geodetic Institute Date of experiment: 2001 September 03 Nominal start time: 12h00 UT Nominal end time: 12h00 UT on September 04, 2001 Duration: 24 hrs Correlator: Bonn Participating stations: Station Code Crimea Sm DSS65 65 Matera Ma Medicina Mc NyAlesund Ny Onsala On Wettzell Wz Yebes Yb Tape usage and scans to be observed: See summary of schedule below Purpose ======= The purpose of this experiment is to determine station coordinates and their evolution in the southern part of the European geodetic VLBI network with the highest precision possible. Schedule ======== The schedule was produced by Axel Nothnagel using the automatic mode of sked. The schedule was optimized for local sky coverage. The sky coverage for all stations were optimzed. Simeiz and Yebes are tagged along. The minimum SNR on all baselines is 35 at X band and 25 at S band. SNR between Onsala and NyAlesund as well as Onsala and Wettzell are reduced to 25/20 to avoid extraordinary scan lengths. The schedule was made with the early tape start feature. Wettzell was spared for IRIS-Intensive between 246-1740 and 246-1936. DSS65 is only scheduled for 246-1200 247-0840 Procedures ========== The frequency sequence, EUR2-SX, used for the last EUROPE experiment will also be used for this experiment.
