EUROPE-63 (EUROPEAN Geodetic VLBI Network session No. 63) Schedule and Notes prepared by Axel Nothnagel, University of Bonn Geodetic Institute Date of experiment: 2002 March 26 Nominal start time: 17h30 UT Nominal end time: 17h30 UT on March 27, 2002 Duration: 24 hrs Correlator: Bonn Participating stations: Station Code DSS65 65 Crimea Sm Matera Ma Medicina Mc Noto Nt NyAlesund Ny Onsala60 On Wettzell Wz Yebes Yb Tape usage and scans to be observed: See summary of schedule below Purpose ======= The purpose of this experiment is to determine station coordinates and their evolution in the southern part of the European geodetic VLBI network with the highest precision possible. Schedule ======== The schedule was produced by Axel Nothnagel using the automatic mode of sked. The schedule was optimized for local sky coverage. The sky coverage for all stations were optimzed. Simeiz and Yebes are tagged along. The minimum SNR on all baselines is 40 at X band and 25 at S band. SNR between Onsala and NyAlesund as well as Onsala and Wettzell are reduced to 25/18 to avoid extraordinary scan lengths. The schedule was made with the early tape start feature. Procedures ========== The frequency sequence, EUR2-SX, used for the last EUROPE experiment will also be used for this experiment. Channel Sky Frequency ======= ============= X-band 1 8210.99 2 8220.99 3 8250.99 4 8310.99 5 8420.99 6 8500.99 7 8550.99 8 8580.99 S-band 1 2212.99 2 2227.99 3 2237.99 4 2267.99 5 2287.99 6 2292.99 Correlation =========== This experiment will be correlated at the Bonn Correlator.
